The UNGC is the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative with 13 000 corporate participants and other stakeholders over 170 countries. It supports companies to do business responsibly by aligning their strategies and operations with Ten Principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption; and take strategic actions to advance broader societal goals, such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with an emphasis on collaboration and innovation. The PFR joined the pact in December 2020.

The D20-LTIC is an association of the world's leading development institutions, primarily from the G20 countries, which aims to encourage cooperation and create an environment conducive to long-term investment that supports sustainable economic growth. The club was founded in 2009 on the initiative of the French CDC, the Italian CDP, German KfW and the European Central Bank. The D20-LTIC currently has 21 members with a total balance sheet total exceeding USD 5.4 trillion. The PFR joined the organisation in June 2018.

IInvest Europe (formerly known as EVCA) is the largest association of its kind in the world, representing European PE, VC and infrastructure funds and their investors, including some of the largest pension funds and insurers in Europe.  Invest Europe is involved in the creation and review of regulations and laws in the area of investment, providing analysis on the role of its members in the economy and publishing studies on trends and changes in the industry. The Association also publishes the Professional Standards Handbook, which is an area of a set of standards and guidelines for the PE industry. The PFR became a member in January 2018.

ILPA is a trade association based in Washington and Toronto, D.C., which brings together institutional limited partners (LPs) in the PE asset class. More than 500 institutions managing a total of USD 2 trillion in assets, which accounts for approximately 50% of all PE assets worldwide, are members of the organisation. The Association is the only global organisation dedicated exclusively to protecting the interests of LPs and their beneficiaries through best-in-class education, research, advocacy and event organisation. The PFR has been a member of the ILPA since May 2018.
